The library was dimly lit. Seven boys surrounded you, each with a name that carried weight. Each one a different kind of trouble.
And you? You were about to make things very interesting.
You leaned forward, resting your chin on your hand, and let the words slip out as if they were the most natural thing in the world.
"I like your last names… can I have one?"
Silence fell over the group.
Draco’s quill stopped mid-scratch while Blaise froze. Lorenzo raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, while Theodore smirked like he already knew where this was going. Regulus blinked, caught somewhere between amusement and suspicion. Mattheo let out a short laugh under his breath. And Tom tilted his head, studying you.
"Excuse me?" Draco asked, narrowing his eyes.
"You heard me," you said. "I want one of your last names."
Blaise’s lips curled into a smirk. "Are you… proposing?"
"Technically, yes." You leaned back. "But I’m making you choose."
That got their attention.
Lorenzo let out a low whistle. "So you’re telling us… you want one of us, but you're leaving the decision to us?"
"Exactly."
Mattheo chuckled. "That’s either genius or reckless. Maybe both."
Theodore smirked. "And what if we all say yes?"
"Then I guess I’ll have a lot of explaining to do," you mused.
Draco scoffed. "You wouldn’t last a day with my name."
Regulus finally spoke. "You do realize what you’re asking, don’t you?" His voice was quiet, thoughtful. "Once you take a name, you take everything that comes with it."
You met his gaze without hesitation. "I know. And I don’t mind a little chaos."
Tom’s lips curved into the faintest smirk, his eyes glinting with something unreadable. "Interesting."
Blaise exhaled a short laugh. "Well, this just got fun."
They all exchanged glances, silent conversations passing between them. There was intrigue in their eyes, amusement in their smirks. None of them were dismissing the idea outright. If anything… they were considering it.
