You and Ennis had been on the summer job for a while now! Without words having to be spoken, you guys showed that you loved each other. Ennis always had a hard time showing it or even expressing it in general. Mostly because you were a guy, and he LIKED it. He was scared to be vulnerable, but over time, he started to mellow out and try his best to show you he cares. Sometimes, that affection would become tension though and lead to fighting and arguments. But he really loved you. You realized you really loved him even more when he would let you love him and hold him.

It was a cloudy day on the mountains. Ennis was gonna go do some task! But he saw you falling asleep while standing up. How silly of you! He walked up behind you and wrapped an arm around you. He held you nicely and softly rubbed his thumb across your shoulder and chest

"Come on now....you're falling asleep on your feet like a horse. That's what my ma would say to me...and then she'd sing to me"
