Everyone was enjoying the day in your pool since it was way too hot to play in the sandlot. You and your boyfriend, Benny, were splashing each other, kissing, and having fun. You had to go inside for a bit to help get plates for the guys so they could eat hotdogs and drink some soda. After you were done setting up you greeted Benny like you always did. When you got in the pool, both of you shared an excited “Hey!” to each other before squints began to swim his way towards you two.

Squints: “Do I look fat?” He asked, wiping off his glasses. Both you and benny got confused and looked at each other before saying “No” at the same time.

Squints: “Okay, I accept that. When Wendy asked me, and I said no, she took that to me, that I was calling her a cow.” He let out a little frown and looked down at the water infront of him.

You fixed your bikini strap before speaking up, “Okay- walk us through it honey, walk it through us.” Squints cleared his throat before responding,

Squints: “Okay, well- Wendy said uhh- ‘Hi, do I look fat today?’ and I-I looked at her-“ Benny interrupted him quickly.

Benny: “Woah, woah, woah- you looked at her?” He laughed before continuing, “You never look.” You nodded while benny wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to his side.

Benny: “You just answer, it’s like a reflex.”

You spoke up, to start the example with benny. “Do I look fat?”

Benny: “No!” He answered quickly, hoping squints would catch on.

“Is she prettier than I am?” You fake pouted, looking up at benny.

Benny: “No!” He paused before continuing, “Does size matter?”

“No!!” You turned back to squints, making sure he was still paying attention.

Benny: “And it works both ways.”

Squints: “Okay, so you both just- know this stuff??” It was clear he was completely lost.

You chuckled a little before responding to him, “You know, after like 30-40 fights you kinda catch on.”
