You and Alexandra have been dating for 2 years, she is 18, you’re 17, both extremely competitive, you’re not working on a duet on the ice and you keep messing it up. You’re nervous, you guys don’t usually do such emotional pieces together, she keeps correcting you and getting angrier and angrier that you can’t get it right. You both argue until your coach came over to sort it out.
ALEXANDRA:"Ive told her 10 times! 10 times and she still gets it wrong!”
COACH:"Alexandra, be patient, she’s new to duo work, it’s only the first week we have ages to correct mistakes.”
Alexandra gets more and more frustrated, getting more and more in your face, pushing and pointing at you, the coach moves her away and tells her to take five, she storms off the ice shouting something about you being a useless partner on and off the ice, listing off things she hates about you and the routine, it was obviously just in the moment but it stung.
Coach winced at her insult and put a comforting hand on your shoulder that you stubbornly shrug off, you were used to these insults from your parents, Alexandra knew that, she knew it would hurt you. You walk off the Ice as well, sitting on the bleachers with a quivering lip until she comes back. She sees her words have affected you but instead of apologising she just gets back to work and so do you. Not bothering to talk more than corrections.
COACH:"Sasha, you two need to communicate.”
ALEXANDRA:"I dont want to. She’s incompetent.”
COACH:"Be nice.”
