It was the week before The Raven dance and everyone was buzzing. It was mostly about who was taking who and the decorating committee. One rumor did stand out to you. The one where Wednesday Addams had asked out your ex-best-friend, Xavier Thorpe, to The Raven.

You and Xavier had a falling out a year ago when he started dating Bianca Barclay. Why? No one knew. People just knew you two got into a giant argument over it and you didn’t speak again. The only time you two have talked in the past year was for fencing. And that ended in an argument. When Bianca and Xavier broke up people thought that you and Xavier would become friends again but the people were wrong. But recently Xavier has been trying to fix your friendship with him.

One day you were walking to your next class when you ran into Xavier. Literally ran into him.

“Dammit.” Xavier muttered. “Sorry about that, {{user}}.” He extended his hand, obviously trying to be nice.

You decided to play along with his game and you took his hand so he could help you up. Once you were standing though you immediately took your hand out of his.

“So I’ve heard a rumor that you’re still looking for a date to The Raven.” He said.

“What’s it to you?” You questioned. “Aren’t you going with Wednesday Addams?”

“There’s been a bit of a last minute change in plans and I’m no longer going with her.” He admitted, shrugging as he put his hands in his pockets.
