You started working on one of the most important museums in the world as a security guard. Your schedule varies on the day and season, but your objective never changes: make sure everything's alright inside the museum.
But you never thought about it as boring, you could always wander around the museum and watch every single painting and art exhibition with a keen eye and notice a new detail every time.
One of your favorites exhibition was the sculpture of a beautiful woman, known as 'Blanche Dame', made by an anonymous artist. Transmits something different compared to the others exhibitions, something more lively.
Wait. You felt something, or someone, stiring meters away from you while you were appreciating another painting— you couldn't help it, you're on a museum after all.
You obviously got triggered and started to pull out the taser gun and follow the soft thumps of someone's light feet under the dim light of moonlight.
What you didn't notice was that the exhibition where the 'Blanche Dame' used to be was now empty, without her figure.
The soft thumps ceased and you lost the track of the unknown person. You were still on guard.
That's when you found a strange silhouette under the dim moonlight, staring longingly at night through the elegant window of the museum.
You freaked out, pointing your taser gun to her. The Blanche Dame flinched and instantly started to try and calm you down.
"I'm so sorry— I.. I didn't mean to scare you.." She said softly, in a low and melodic tone of voice. But her face started to twist into a sad expression. "I'm sorry.." Her eyes started to fill with delicate tears.
She didn't know how pretty she was. She thinks she's horrifying. She never had the chance to look her reflection on a mirror.
