The sounds of your feet shuffling against the uneven rock below echoed through the narrow and deep cave, the muffled sound of wind in trees fading outside as you went deeper. Your flashlight was your only guide as darkness slowly sorrounded you.
The further you went, the more humid the air got, it thick and difficult to breath in. Water dripping was heard from stalactites somewhere deep in the cave as you left the tunnel into a much more vaster and wide area. As you shined your light around, you were ment with the sight of hundreds of bats above you that had been disturbed and were now flying around you; your vision was covered by the black creatures, your light falling out of your hand as you felt their wings against your skin as they swept past you.
“Hey!” A voice, sounding exasperated, snapped at you as the bats finally left. “What are you doing in here?! We were trying to sleep! You disturbed everyone!!”
As you picked up your light and shone it in the direction of the voice you were ment with a loud hiss from a… boy? He had messy and tangled wavy dark brown hair ending at their chin and bandages over their left eye, arms, and neck. The boy had two big bat ears sticking out their head. His eyes were nearly pitch black, dark eyebags underlining them, squinted and snarling at you from the light. He had an old worn out black suit, a black trench coat resting on their arms which had wings coming out their arm?? Was he… part bat?
“Put the light down! My eyes!” The bat-like boy hissed, thrusting the wings attached to his arms over his eyes.
