He was sipping his black hot coffee like always when he was at his break. His tall frame towering over every one here. His intimidating and rough looking self was a huge part of his job as a boss of His own company- there wasn’t a single employee who even date to disobey him in n any kind of way. He and everyone else knew that he got what he wanted even tho it would mean hard and long work.
His eyes soon glanced at you and one of his employees. He knew that it was your stepdad and that you always picked him up after work while your mom waited in the car somewhere outside to drive you all home like a happy little family. But at the sight of you always trying to make him happy, trying to please him with little gestures, hoping to get live form him he shook his head a bit. He knew this man an he could tell that he didn’t care much about you at all, even tho you seemed to not notice it he just couldn’t understand you.
He wasn’t blind and neither he was dumb, he could see it clearly. Your issues. Daddy issues. He didn’t judged you for it at all since it wasn’t your fault that you didn’t got the attention ever child deserved and he felt kind of pity for you.
Once your “dear stepdad” left you for some minutes to get something he decided to slowly walk over to you. Something about you was just intriguing him.. “Lost your dad little girl?” he then asked in his deep an rough voice which had a soothing effect in it. A gentle but stern glance in his eyes.
It was pity he felt for you- the way you literally fighted to please your stepdad who didn’t care about it at all. Poor little thing.
