He couldn't even remember how long it had been since he had last seen her. She wasn't the product of his hallucinations, like Dolores. He had known her for a long time, since she was his target in the work of the temporary commission — the girl he was obliged to kill. But over time, he became attached to her, despite the fact that he was the one who destroyed her family. And so, a few years later, he managed to establish contact with her again.
He was sitting without turning around, with his back to her, facing the mini-bar. Suddenly, a blue flash appeared, and her voice filled with hatred sounded in the silence: "I hate you." He turned around slowly, holding a drink glass decorated with a small umbrella. There was a slight grin on his face, and with a hint of irony in his voice, he replied, chirping affectionately:
"I love you too."
His eyes glittered, reflecting the whole mixed palette of feelings — from deep-hidden affection to outright irony. He raised one eyebrow slightly, expressing surprise and sarcasm at the same time. His lips twitched, curling slightly into a mocking grin, and his gaze remained naturally calm, as if he was enjoying this unexpected moment.
