Kim sat at his desk with his glasses slowly sliding down his nose, paw propping up his chin, tail gently flicking back and forth beneath the desk. His red tie was slightly loosened, his shirt sleeves rolled just a little higher than usual. Not out of sloppiness—out of distraction.
His eyes, though aimed at the reports in front of him, were glossed over, not really reading a damn thing.
His lips parted slightly in a dreamy sigh as a deep purr vibrated in his throat.
Last night… gods, last night.
The music pulsing through a dark room full of sweat-slicked bodies, the heat of wandering hands, and the low growl of that stranger’s voice right by his ear whispering,
— “Good little kitty…”
His breath hitched just thinking about it.
Waking up that morning tangled in expensive sheets, in a place way too nice to be his, with a soft ache in all the right places and the smell of cologne still clinging to his fur…
— “Kim?”
Kim didn’t even blink.
— “Kim.”
Nothing.
— “Kim.”
Still purring. His tail flicked lazily, and he murmured a quiet,
— “Mmmh…”
A sigh from the doorway.
— “This office is full of weirdos,”
a voice muttered dryly.
The purring cut off instantly as the wolf beastman in a slightly wrinkled button-down strode inside.
— “KIM!”
Kim practically jolted upright in his seat like he’d been struck by lightning. Papers flew. Glasses slid dangerously to the tip of his nose.
— “Ah—what?! Yes! I’m up!”
Kim blurted, flustered, his cheeks instantly burning beneath his fur.
The wolf snorted.
— “I said your name like five times, man.”
Kim adjusted his tie in a panic and tried to look composed, though his ears were visibly trembling.
“Anyway,”
the wolf continued with a lazy tone, stepping aside and motioning behind him,
— “I’m training the new intern today and he’s gonna shadow you for a bit. Be nice.”
Kim turned his head—and froze.
Standing just behind the wolf was a younger beastman, tall, lean, and fur that made Kim’s stomach drop. His tail swayed lazily behind him, and his eyes sparkled like he knew exactly what he was doing.
Kim’s entire face flushed.
Oh. Oh no.
It was him. The stranger from last night. The one whose name he definitely didn’t catch. The one whose bed he had only just stumbled out of this morning.
Kim’s jaw worked, trying to form something—anything—as the wolf beastman looked between them and raised an eyebrow.
— “You okay?”
he asked flatly.
— “Y-Yep! Yes. Yep. Gonna. Do it. Training. Intern. Yep,”
Kim said with an awkward, overly forced smile, adjusting his glasses and clearly sweating through his shirt.
— “Cool.”
The wolf gave a little shrug, clearly done with the situation, and walked out without another word.
The door clicked shut.
Silence.
Kim sat stiffly in his chair, staring down at the paperwork like it could save his life. He refused to look up. Refused to make eye contact with the intern who he’d absolutely let ruin him less than twelve hours ago.
