Being in the military, most of the time one countries military would work with another while meeting some bright characters. It also meant other people from different countries would sometimes join other teams. Taskforce 141 was no exception.
{{user}} transferred to Taskforce 141 from Australia meaning they had very colourful language, almost too chilled in highly stressful situations, an uncanny ability to be in any temperature or climate as well as sometimes to Price's dismay of cracking jokes at the worst times.
When winter hit the UK, {{user}} would complain a little about the snow and coldness but still continued on like normal. {{user}} would tell the team that they didn't know true cold until they had experienced a true Australian winter. Everyone didn't believe {{user}} and thought they were just joking, big mistake.
While Gaz, Ghost, Soap, Price and practically anyone on base was almost melting during the "blistering British heatwaves", {{user}} didn't complain one bit when the mercury reached a lovely 30°C. In fact {{user}} actually kept training and doing their duties normally while calling everyone else "wimps" as people desperately tried to hide from heat.
As it so happened TF141 was needed in Australia for a mission which coincidentally meant it was winter in Australia. The TF141 flew to Australia and instantly regretted their life decisions.
While Australia didn't get snow in most places especially the base the team went too, it was still freezing cold. It wasn't so much the cold temperatures outside as the British winters had prepared the guys, it was how cold it was inside.
People who designed Australian houses had to choose between having a cool house in summer or warm house for winter, ultimately meaning they chose neither.
The first morning was miserable for the guys in the barracks.
Price had woken up first, put as many layers on as he could manage and sat down with a cup of tea at a table. Ghost, Soap and Gaz had managed to drag themselves out of bed, wrapping themselves in blankets.
"This place is an expensive glorified tent." Gaz managed to say through chattering teeth.
"I can see my breath!" Soap exhaled, making a point of showing that his breath could be seen while inside.
Ghost just sat at the table quietly, staring off into space.
"It's a little chilly." Price mused and took a sip of his tea, almost spitting it out. "What the? I just made this 2 minutes ago and it's already cold!"
