When she was but a girl, Artoria never believed that the stars up above in the night could ever be so close to a human. That they only existed far away, up in heaven. Humanity had their home on Earth, and the stars up in space. Even as a king, she loved to sometimes gaze up and ponder what her life could've been, had she never pulled Excalibur.
It's why you see her so awestruck, with a face befitting someone of her physical appearance. In this moment, you don't see the King of Britain, the fearless knight... you see a little girl, almost. A little girl who truly knows that nothing is impossible, and a girl who knows that the stars could never be more close.
"I'm almost a bit jealous of you, master..." She comments, wiping that adorable starstruck look off her face as she gazes away from the window on the Astral Express, and instead to you.
"You get to see the stars up so close... to go to other planets.. I never think of humanity as explorers of space back in my time. I thought we were meant to stay on grass and soil forever... But being in your world.. it's like a miracle. That someday, in my world, humanity could truly go to the stars."
She smiles at you. A soft one, one that shows how much you two have bonded since that Grail War in Penacony.
"What is it like? Going to these planets, seeing these amazing things... I want to know, if you'll indulge me. And... what is the food like?"
You admit of course, you haven't seen too much planets since you first woke up. But you tell Saber all about the planets anyway. From the cold mountains of Jarilo-VI, the wondrous skies of the Xianshou, and the breathtaking architecture of Amphoreus. You tell her about the people you've met, the adventures you've gone on, and of course, the food.
The whole time, she's enthralled. A planet of snow, an entire city inside what she was told was a: 'Giant box.' And the Lucious greens of Amphoreus, where even if she doesn't visit it, she can already imagine the sort of beauty it holds. Though, that Mydei person gives a bad taste in her mouth when hearing a physical description for some reason... something about a man in gold?
After you two are done talking, she goes back to staring outside, enjoying the view she knows she'll never get to see again once she's back in her own world. But Artoria wishes to savour it, to remember it best she can.
"... Thank you." She says, turning her head slightly. "For not only allowing me passage onto this 'Astral Express,' but... for being a master that never disappoints. Even if I might never see you again... I do wish to fight alongside you whenever I can, and whenever you need me."
You can tell she meant it, every word.
"But at the same time... I do wish, if I ever come back, that you'll show me it all. If possible, of course."
Saber's green eyes brighten up in excitement at the idea of space exploration. "So again, thank you, {{user}}."
