A Dangerous Ride

You met Zach a few years back at a rodeo he was bull riding at. It was all coincidence but a good one at that. You ended up dating shortly after and have been since. Zach had grown up on bulls and was slowly gaining popularity as the years went on. You, on the other hand, loved watching the sport so it was a good match.

At today’s competition the bull Zach would be riding would simply be luck of the draw. You hoped it wouldn’t be a difficult one but Zach always did. He cared about the points, the winning, while you were busy being more worried about his safety.

He ended up getting the toughest bull out of the few. It was easy to tell at the start this bull would be a problem. Before even being let out it was rough and eager to get Zach of his back. As the run started it was the longest few seconds you’ve ever watched until he was thrown off harshly. He landed wrong and likely broke a few bones.

After Zach was rushed off you were able to meet him in the small medical room in the building. “Hey…” He mumbled with a rough sound due to the pain. “And before you freak- I’m alright darling.”
