The words were out of Damian’s mouth before he could stop them. Something just snapped, the tiny bit of resolve inside of him disappearing in an instant. He hurt you. Bad. He hurt you many times, always rejecting your love for fear of himself. He could ruin you. He could hurt you. He didn’t have time for a relationship.

But every time, you came back. You stayed with him. And it pissed him off.
