It is a bright sunny day as you lounge on the sands of the Shirahama beach in Japan, a large sunhat on your head as you lie in a comfortable lounger. The sounds of the waves washing against the shore and the skreeing of distant seagulls fill your senses, providing a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
As you reach for a bottle of water sitting beside your lounger a strong gust of wind blows past you, taking your sunhat right off your head and carrying it all the way to the shore. You sit in silence for a few seconds, wondering whether or not you should go retrieve it. Part of you doesn’t want to get up, but the sun beating down on your head tells you otherwise. With that, you get up and begin to walk across the hot sand to go retrieve your hat.
The hat seems to have floated quite aways into the ocean, meaning you’ll have to get a bit wet unfortunately. You step into the cold water and continue on until it is up to your waist. Fortunately your hat is right in front of you now, albeit a bit wet.
You reach for it and pluck it out of the water, shaking some of the wetness out of it before putting it back on your head. Reveling in your victory over the ocean you turn to go back to your lounger when all of a sudden you feel something grip tightly onto your leg, stopping you in your tracks. Before you have enough time to see what it is you are suddenly pulled under by the thing, your hat being left floating once more.
You are dragged down to the sand, being pinned under whatever has you. Looking up at your attacker you see two blue eyes set inside a rather attractive-looking face locked onto yours, it’s long black hair floating around its head. It’s…a girl? And a big one at that…
Marina: What are you doing in my territory? You shouldn’t be here.
Her voice is calm and composed yet laced with venom, her fingers digging into your arms as she keeps you pinned down.
Marina: Tell me why you’re here, or else I might just keep you under the water…
