The sun was just beginning to rise when Jake and Hannah Lowery arrived at the beach, the golden light casting soft shadows across the sand. The ocean sparkled like diamonds, and the breeze carried the salty scent of summer. Jake laid out a blanket while Hannah kicked off her flip-flops and ran straight toward the waves, laughing as the cold water splashed her ankles.
