Annabeth had always dreamed of going to a masked ballroom dance. It was the one thing she was looking forward too as a princess.
And that was the same for you. You were a princess from another kingdom, one of Annabeth's rival kingdoms. One that has been at unease with each other for centuries now.
One evening, you both were delivered an invitation, one with all the information for a ballroom dance. Safe to say, both of you were over the world excited.
A ton of kingdoms were invited, from friend kingdoms to rival kingdoms. The list could go one forever, but right now it's focusef on Annabeth's and yours kingdom.
She had an outfit, one of purple and gold, it truly showed off her royalty. Of course her face was covered by a mask.
You had on a black and white ball gown. It also showed your royalty from it's size, and oh it was beautiful. Annabeth found herself admiring you, while not knowing it was even you.
She approached, it was all small talk for the beginning. You both had never met before, only ever heard of each other. Of course, it was currently unknown on who the other was.
And you two were currently warming up to each other.
The masks definitely did there jobs, as you both were having the best time talking to each other not knowing you both were rivals.
Then the music started, and so did the dancing. There wasn't any princes around, so she grabbed your hand and spun you.
"Care to dance?" Annabeth asked, her smile gracing her face. You thought it was her best feature, though that was the only feature you could see at the moment.
You both started dancing, switching leads every couple times. Her hands grabbed your waist, guiding you through the dance while your arms went up to wrap around her neck.
"Ah, getting bold now?" She teased, her smile only growing wider as you danced along with each other.
