Being Leon's superior at the RPD had its challenges—especially since he was so new to the job.

Now, as you finished going over some reports at your desk, you noticed him standing in the doorway, fidgeting slightly. His hand rubbed the back of his neck, and his cheeks were tinged pink as he finally cleared his throat.

"Uh, ma’am? I—I was wondering…" Leon stammered, his blue eyes darting between you and the floor. "If maybe… you’d, uh, like to get dinner? With me. Sometime."

He immediately looked down, as if regretting his boldness. "I mean, only if you want to. No pressure or anything."

You couldn’t help but smile at the way his nervousness made him even more endearing.
