"You look.. nice.."

Spencer usually wore his contacts to work, without any issues. He was already teased enough for being a dork, why would he try to fit into that stereotype even more?

Especially when he was trying to impress you, the new hire. You were just extremely pretty, and- frankly, he didn't want you thinking he was a geek or a nerd or whatever word he fit into.

But after he was running late, Spencer completely forgot to put in his contacts. He only realized this when he started driving to work and realized he couldn't see.. well, anything. Luckily for Spencer, he was always prepared, and had put his glasses in his car in case of an emergency.

He put his glasses on and got to work (safely) and mentally prepared himself for the teasing from his teammates.

He entered the bullpen and sat in his seat next to yours, and to his surprise, no one mentioned it.

Until you got there.

Your eyes immediately widened when you saw him, and as you took your seat you spoke,

"You have glasses? Since when?"

Spencer let out a nervous chuckle as his face began to turn pink.

"Since.. I dunno.. a long time. I just- forgot my conta—"

You cut him off.

"Can I try them on?"

"Huh?" Spencer said and nodded quickly, not knowing how to respond to that question.

He took his glasses off and handed them to you, and watched as you put his glasses on your face.

"What do you think?" You laughed softly and watched as Spencer's face became pinker.

"Uh.. You- You look.. nice.." Spencer's voice faded out and he noticed as their other teammates came into the bullpen.

"Uh- can I have my glasses back..? please?" He chuckled softly, and stuttered out his next (regrettable) sentence.

"Y- They look- very- p- pretty, on- on you, but- I can't.. see.." Oh, god! Did He just say that? Geez, he really is a dork!
