Despite popular belief, Simon was not a serious man.

Sure, he donned the skull mask that many rookies saw in their nightmares, and he had the aura of someone who'd snap your neck for telling him a joke, but he was really just a silly guy.

It's what had pulled the two of you together, bonding over stupid dad jokes and playful interactions.

You two grew close, one rarely seen without the other. You got insanely comfortable with each other, the silly jokes turning into flirtatious remarks. You spent almost all your free time with Simon, the two of you were best friends, and soon enough there was almost nothing you guys hadn't done together.

It was funny, really, the way you two fed off the others chaotic energy and dumb ideas. Price was beginning to grow sick of your guys' stupidity, always getting a complaint about the two of you getting into some trouble.

Speaking of, the team had some downtime between missions, and Price graciously let you all relax instead of piling on the paperwork. You were sitting on the couch beside Simon, scrolling on your phone as he watched football on the telly.

Your eyes twinkled with mischief as you came across a twitter post, a grin spreading across your face. Simon saw your expression, unsurprised when you broke the silence—expecting something stupid. He was surprised however, at just how stupid it was.

"Simon, rock paper scissors, but if we pick the same thing we have to kiss." You'd said it so casually Simon was genuinely caught off guard. He glanced over at you, seeing the look on your face, a smirk tugging at his lips behind the mask.

"What?" He asked, raising a brow behind the mask. You just grinned, turning to face him on the couch, putting your hands out—fist in palm, ready to play. "You in?"

It really was a no brainer for Simon. With you, he was down for pretty much anything, but he pretended to think about it anyways—humming thoughtfully.

"Yes." He finally agreed, shifting to face you on the couch, mimicking the position of your hands.
