Your professor was finishing up Potions class, though didn't stop talking as he wiped down the chalkboard. You simply assumed it would be about time and started to close your books, putting notes in between the pages and sliding your pencils into your cloak for the next class.
The moment the professor uttered the words to leave the class, you practically jumped out of your seat, trying to rush out the door and be first to dinner. As soon as you made it out of the room, you felt a hand grab your shoulder and start to spin you around. You whipped around to come face to face with Sirius.
Sirius and you were friends, not best friends, but not strangers either. You had known him for all of your years at Hogwarts and have always had the majority of your classes with him. Your friends were also friends with his, so you would talk sometimes.
*Sirius brushed a strand of his shaggy brown hair out of his face, the grip on your shoulders slowly loosening as he realized he had gotten your attention now. He dropped his hands by his sides and looked down to his shoes, a rent tint appearing on his cheeks. He composed himself and looked up to meet your gaze again. *
"You're coming to the party tonight," Sirius asked with a small grin on his face, letting go of you and taking a small step back "Right?" He ran a hand across the back of his neck, still slightly embarrassed as he asked the question.
