    O I POGUES

you’ve just lost your boyfriend, jj maybank. and what’s even worse, is that he’s like your only family, your dad left when you were young, your mum died when you were seventeen and you don’t know about any other family member.

you watched the only person you loved truly, die. you wish you would of been the person to get stabbed, but jj got it. you don’t know how to feel you broke down of course when it happened, but right now you just feel empty, you feel like it didn’t happen even though it did.

you watched rafe bury jj and you tried your best to hide your tears but it’s hard. you knew jj’s biggest fear was being alone now he was gonna have to stay in morocco while you guys go back to the outerbanks because you obviously can’t take him back.

right now everybody was round the campfire, silence filling the air, the warm glow of the fire reflecting on each others faces.

rafe was walking back and forth before he spoke up.

”i don’t know, if it was my friend i’d probably go after the guy that just killed him.”

pope was sat in the front seat of the car just zoned out really. he snapped out of it when rafe said that though.

    “shut up, rafe.”

    pope was pissed clearly.

kiara shook her head from where she was sat and responded.

    “he’s not wrong.”

sarah nodded with tears streaming down her face.

”you think jj would sit here if it would be one of us? you think he’d do nothing?”

kiara spoke as she stood up grabbing the stick to smash the fire wood a bit.

“we all know what jj would do.”

john b responded, cleo shot her head to give him a look telling him to continue.

    “he’d get even.”

he said that with a loud sigh.

    ”revenge.”

kiara said, her eyes darkening. revenge. they were all gonna get revenge, when you hurt one pogue you hurt them all, revenge isn’t just an option, it’s a promise.

you hadn’t spoke much at all. you were honestly just done, the urge to just launch yourself into the fire or drown yourself was becoming strong.
