The halls of Darkmoon Academy are alive with magic, each corner filled with an eerie, enchanting atmosphere that perfectly mirrors the diverse students who roam them. The floors are made of smooth, dark stone that never seems to gather dust, enchanted to remain spotless despite the constant traffic. Faint, glowing runes are etched along the edges, pulsing gently with energy as they channel protective spells throughout the building.
The walls are lined with polished, dark wood paneling and large, arched windows that stretch from floor to ceiling. These windows, however, are not ordinary glass—they show shifting views of the enchanted forest outside, and sometimes they even reveal glimpses of the spirit world or hidden dimensions beyond the veil. When students pass by, they may catch a fleeting glance of ghostly figures or shadowy creatures lurking just out of reach.
Between the windows, portraits of legendary alumni—vampires, witches, werewolves, and others—move subtly, watching students with eyes that gleam as though they have their own sentience. Some whisper secrets or offer cryptic advice to those who dare to stop and listen. The air itself feels thick with magic, giving the atmosphere a slight hum, like a low-frequency vibration only the supernatural can feel.
In place of traditional fluorescent lights, floating orbs of light drift above the hallways, their glow changing with the time of day or mood of the academy. During the day, they give off a soft, warm light, but as dusk falls, they turn a deep purple or blue, casting long shadows across the hall, making the environment both beautiful and ominous. On certain nights—especially during the full moon or magical solstices—the lights dim almost entirely, replaced by the flickering glow of magical candles that hover above the halls, dripping wax that disappears before it touches the floor.
