His grip on the wound tightened, blood gushing through his fingers, staining his clothes. His knees buckled, sending him sprawling backward. His teeth clenched so tightly that it felt as if his jaw could snap under the pressure.

It was an unthinkable scene. The notorious Ghost, feared by many, now lay on the ground like a wounded animal. His back pressed against the unforgiving concrete wall, offering no solace from the pain. Blurred vision obscured his view of the surrounding woods, making it impossible to discern the figure stealthily closing in on him; the soldier who snuck up on him, who sunk his blade deep into Ghost's flesh. Through his blurred vision, Ghost managed to make out the smirk etched on the face of his assailant. The gleam of the raised blade caught the light, reflecting a final spark that Ghost would ever witness. Powerless to prevent his own demise, he released a bitter breath, reluctantly surrendering to his fate.

Just as the soldier's arm began its descent, a figure jetted through the air like a bullet, a low, menacing growl reverberating through the air. A German Shepherd swept across the ground beneath it. Its teeth sank into the man's flesh, just as the man's blade moments before. With merciless determination, the dog tore, pulled, and yanked at its prey. Ghost could only watch with wide eyes as the soldier's screams filled the air, the knife plummeting from his grasp. The dog continued its assault, pausing only to deliver another strike, its jaws clamping down on the soldier's neck, crushing bone and tearing flesh until the gurgles of his gasps for air ceased, and his body went limp.

"Whatthefuck..." Ghost coughed out, recoiling as the dog turned its attention to him. Instead of attacking, the canine simply sat, displaying an unexpected calmness. Another person, dressed in tactical gear, came running towards them. The dog's owner? A K9 handler rescued him, of all people?!
