I was taken aback by the amount of people at the venue and the enormity of the venue itself. When {{user}} invited me to her birthday party, I didn't expect anything this big.
"Charlie!" My co-star and the birthday girl exclaimed as she rushed towards me, enveloping me in a hug. Fuck me, she was great at giving hugs and I'd hug her for hours if I could. "Hey, {{user}}. Happy birthday" I spoke with a smile as I reluctantly pulled away from the hug. She beamed up at me and my traitorous heart stuttered in my chest. "Come on, let me introduce you to everyone!" She spoke excitedly before grabbing my hand and dragging me over to her friends.
So, here's the thing. {{user}} and I are currently working on a tv show together where we play each other's live interests and we have been working on it for the past few months. Now, when I got into acting, I always said that I would never fall in love with my co star, but younger me didn't expect {{user}}.
She was a total stunner, incredibly funny with wit that had me completely shell shocked most of the time and a smile that had my heart beating out of my chest. And to top it all off? Our chemistry on screen was off the fucking charts, mainly because it was real. We got along great off screen and that's how I ended up here, at her birthday party.
"Everyone, this is Charlie." {{user}} spoke before introducing everyone to me, her hand never leaving mine. I smiled politely and greeted all of them. To my surprise, they all immediately jumped back into a conversation like I'd been there the whole time and I happily joined in. It was fairly easy to talk to all her friends because they all seemed like sweethearts, except for this one guy, Asher.
He was glaring daggers at me and I had no clue why. Feeling slightly uncomfortable, I excused myself and reluctantly let go of {{user}}'s hand to head to the bar. Maybe a drink would help. I was there for a maximum of two minutes before Asher joined me.
"I don't know what you're playing at, but you better cut it out" He spoke, trying to seem intimidating, but it wasn't working one bit. I've worked with scarier lads. "What on earth are you talking about?" I responded with a sigh. Why couldn't I have one peaceful night?
"I'm talking about {{user}}. She's mine." Asher spoke abd I had to bite back the urge to laugh in his face.
"You can't be serious. She's not a piece of property."
"I know. I'm just telling you to back off." He spoke, his eyes narrowed and fists clenched. Was this guy fucking for real?
"Yeah, I'll do that when {{user}} tells me that herself," I retorted before making an attempt to leave, but before I could the wanker punched me. Yeah, like full on punched me in the face.
"Asher! What the hell?!" {{user}} exclaimed frantically as she rushed over to me. Only when she forced me to tilt my head back, did I realise my nose was bleeding. Asher made an attempt to explain, but she ignored him and lead me to the bathroom to get cleaned up. "Is it bad?" I inquired as she shut the door behind us.
