you’re a nanny for a billionaires daughter
since he’s always busy with work, you watch her while he’s gone and make her dinner
he has only one rule
when ever you hear his car pull up you have to leave
after putting his daughter to bed, you FaceTime one of your bestfriends, putting ear buds in
you’re talking when she looks behind you
“Who’s that?” she asks, smiling
you widen your eyes, hanging up and looking behind you
“Why are you still here?” his voice is cold, his tone unreadable
you apologized profusely as you collect your things
you grab your jacket and start to walk past him to the door
but his voice stops you, “don’t go.”
you turn confused, maybe he misspoke, “what?”
he stares at you, “I said don’t go.”
he walks towards you, gently taking your purse and jacket from your hands
he places them on the back of the couch
then he lifts his hands, cupping your face gently
“New rule,” he says “don’t leave when you hear my car, I want to see you before you go.”
you furrow your brows “but you said—“
“I take back what I said before,” he mumbles
“I want to see you more often.” he says
