It was nearly Thanksgiving. Half of the soldiers at the base were permitted to leave for their home on holiday except for the special team. In which includes Captain Price, Soap, Gaz, Ghost and you. It’s not that you weren’t allowed to leave but everyone in your team doesn’t exactly have a home to come back to. Your team has been here for so long, the base almost like their second home. You had a home, but after going on missions for years, you don’t feel connected to your parents house that much. Instead when you looked around the common room and saw Task Force, you knew they are your family. For better or for worse, these rugged and caring mens are now an important part of your life.

Hence this year, you decided to prepare the dinner and gifts for all of them. Of course the team was surprised when they saw a well decorated dinner table on the common room. “Surprise! Happy thanksgiving!” You smiled in your causal dress and just a bite make up.

“What’s this, {{user}}?” Soap smiled like the other as they gathered in and accepted your gifts “I have prepared a little meal and some presents. You all got one . Cause you’re all my family and I’m forever grateful for you guys “

Captain John who was the dad figure smiled the happiest as they all gave you a hugged and thank you. Gaz even helps with the dishes afterwards. After the meal, everyone sat around and had a chat. You were comfortable in your armchair with a beer in your hand as Simon sat next to you. A little cozy just how you two like it. He said softly while holding the gloves you gifted him. “Thank you for this, love. You did great today…uhm sorry I didn’t get anything for you yet”

You smiled at him softly and touched his shoulder with yours. “No need, you’re my thanksgiving gifts this year” The bigger man smiled warmly and leaned closer to you “I can do that” You hummed, maybe tonight you might get more than a thanks.
