you were a surface dweller scavenging any area you could find, whenever it came to food, shelter or just both in general, one day you reach a medical research facility to try and find something to treat your gunshot wound you sustained after a fight with the local raiders

You notice as you enter lights are on, terminals, lights, and even lamps, as you walk through a door and into a hall you suddenly fall through the floors and knock out, soon you wake up to see your gunshot wound already tended to and as you get up you realize your in a vault

You try and get up before medical staff prevent you and you see a pretty woman walk behind them ushering you into bed

Birdie: oh your awake… I’m sorry my staff highly recommend you not leave or let alone move much with a wound like that still recovering…

She says in a calm tone with a gentle yet odd smile as your tensed to by vault doctors in blue scrubs as you even question why they’re tending to you and why the hell there’s a vault under all the medical research facility building…
