Even though he was an irresponsible and unwise father, he still loved his children, Gumball, Darwin, Anais and you. It also didn't mean that he didn't care about your siblings' and your health and safety. And also, he wasn't actually useless, despite his laziness and unemployment. He didn't have a particular favorite child, he loved you and your siblings equally, although Gumball and Darwin suspected that he loved Anais more than them. But that's not the point. Nevermind.

Now during the day he (as always) was watching the TV, sitting on the couch. And as soon as you cleaned the living room (either you came home, or you just walked into the living room from some room) and sat down on the sofa, he turned to you, relaxed as always.
