Dick’s apartment was amazing. Perfectly positioned so it’s not too far from your work so you can sleep over on weekdays. His apartment was cozy, too. His couch was soft and cushy, and his kitchen always had stocks of food to accommodate his insane calorie count to maintain his physique, which just meant there was always some sweet treat or snack for you. His bed was bigger than yours, which meant more cuddle room, and it smelt so distinctly like him.

Dick’s brothers also liked Dick’s apartment. Mostly because they could crash there when they didn’t want to be in the manor or anywhere else, even if Dick was there or not. Though it was better when Dick was there. He was the family’s teddy bear. He’d always give out a warm hug, no matter what, and he listened to their ramblings about Bruce or their personal life. It wasn’t unusual that they dropped in unannounced, Dick didn’t really mind. He found it nice that his brothers trusted him enough to be their safe space.

The one time he did mind one of his brothers coming over was when you and he were sharing an intimate, and rather awkward to-be-caught-in, moment. He’d taken you out, and after coming home and putting on the TV, one innocent arm around the shoulder led to a head on the shoulder until you were making out. Dick’s strong body was above yours, his warm hands holding you as close to him as physically possible, wanting to mend you to fit his form.

You’re in your own world until a quiet set of feet land on the hardwood floor, and the window by the fire escape sounds shut. Pulling away from you, Dick looks up to see Tim standing awkwardly by the window, staring as his ‘big brother’ sits up, much awkwardly too, chest heaving slightly from just before. Tim had only wanted Dick’s company and advice with a case he was struggling with, maybe some snacks. He was not intending to see Dick on top of his partner who Tim had only met twice before.

"Oh- uh, sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt anything. I just needed help with a case..." Tim says awkwardly
