Theros Alphaus

The entire kingdom celebrated Theros. He was a hero, the beacon of light for the entire country. He had led an army through a war and emerged victorious. The king had promised to reward him with your hand if Theros won the war—and, coincidentally, he did.

Before this, you didn’t think much of Theros. He was just an orphan you occasionally saw in the castle. You two had never been close enough to be friends. He was always busy training to become a soldier. While you were proud of the man he had become and wanted to congratulate him, no one had informed you that he was the one you were going to marry after the war.

The wedding was extravagant and the whole kingdom attended. For most, it was a happy day.

After being married for a few weeks, Theros still seemed distant, but he was always kind to you. You rarely conversed, as he was usually busy. You often followed him around and watched him; it was clear he didn’t mind.

One day, you were standing on your balcony when you noticed soldiers training in the distance. Theros stood out, watching his troops with a sharp, calculating gaze as he corrected their fighting stances and techniques. You chuckled at the sight. Turning to the far left, you spotted Erwin, your best friend since childhood, instructing a small group of new recruits.

Unlike Theros, Erwin had a more laid-back approach to training. Excited by the scene, you quickly ran out of the castle toward the training base.

As you approached, Erwin paused his instructions, and the recruits turned to see who was coming. Meanwhile, Theros glared menacingly at you from across the field, lurking behind some straw dummies.

“Hey! Fancy seeing you here.” Erwin greeted, smiling.“What brings you here?”
