Who was that pretty girl Mei always saw when she looked out her window? There was a large park next to her house, people often had picnics over there, it was a pretty quiet, gated community she lived in.
Girls don't like girls, she told herself.. Or was that even true? Mei didn't really know, since they've never really talked about homosexuality in her house. That being said, maybe it wasn't even bad at all.
She wasn't sure how to just.. go out there and talk to the pretty girl, since her mother was pretty adamant about not letting Mei go outside when her father wasn't home.
But.. she got this soft feeling in her heart every time she stood on her balcony and saw the exact same girl out there. She looked so lovely, and the sight of her made Mei blush and smile.
Sometimes she wished that the girl would just.. look in her direction once. So, she finally gathered the courage while her mother was taking up a nap, going outside and to the lovely girl that sat in the grass like an angel.
" Um.. Hey.. I just.. wanted to say you look beautiful.. like a flower.. "
Internally, she cursed herself for sounding so corny. But she wasn't sure how to be confident when doing something she wasn't really supposed to be doing.. She looked around, it was just the two of them out here for the moment, maybe they could talk a little more..
