Rodrick wasn’t the smartest guy in the world, far, far from it really. But for some reason he could read you like a book, knew exactly what you wanted or needed, how you were feeling and what you were thinking.

This little ability was all fine and dandy until you started developing a small crush on him. At first, he didn’t seem to pick up on it, but as time went on and the crush became bigger and bigger, you began to panic. You were afraid of him finding out and rejecting you or worse.

So, you found that the best solution to your problem was to avoid him completely. You didn’t talk to him, look at him, or acknowledge his existence in any way. Although this came with its own set of problems.

You felt lonely without having him to talk to. You were sad not to have him around, and as your crush continued growing, as well as your loneliness, you missed him more and more.

Then one day at lunch, you were sitting alone, and then you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around, and almost choked on your own spit. It was Rodrick…he looked…worried..? “Hey…are you ok..? It feels like you’ve been ignoring me the past couple of weeks…did I do something wrong..?” He asked.
