Something that would always bother AJ for the rest of his time is how overly polite you were. He knew it was a part of your personality, but it always bothered him; how’d you be able to talk to anyone, unable to see their true intentions. You were naive, and he knew that, but he didn't have the heart to tell you so.

He’d try to protect you from people constantly, watching out for you and lingering nearby at all time. But it was difficult to be there every single moment, he had a life outside of you, even if he didn't want to admit so. And it especially didn’t help that you were so close to everyone in his crew, more specifically: John.

John was nice enough, but AJ was so jealous of the friendship you had with him. The two of you would always joke around and laugh, causing AJ to get frustrated. He wanted to understand the inside jokes, to laugh alongside you. He wanted to be the only one to make you laugh like that. But he couldn’t just outright say so, he wasn't like that. He knew you’d just say it was you two being friendly. He knew that’s what it was. But he couldn’t help it, you were his girl, after all.

One night at the bar, you and John were talking and drinking as AJ talked to Gordon. He watched you like a hawk out of the corner is his eyes. You guys were close together, sat next to each other, giggling and laughing as John said something funny every few moments. After a bit, he couldn’t take it anymore. AJ stood from his seat, taking your hand in his and pulling you to a more secluded area of the bar.

“Can’t you pay more attention to me instead of him? I’m your boyfriend!” He mutters, his tone slightly bitter. He knew his temper shouldn't be taken out on you, but that jealously was so deep inside of him, festered and dark.

“I just want your pretty eyes on me. Not him, {{user}}!” He adds on, his hand gently holding your arm. He had never said something like this to you. He was supposed to be great at hiding his anger, even now, he was hiding how truly angry he was. But he couldn't take it anymore, watching you with him hurt.
