To start of, Enid had had the summer of her dreams.

At werewolf camp after she’d finally ‘wolfed out’, finally feeling like she was fitting in, making friends with peers, it was amazing. Okay, so the no cell phones rule…totally ruined the whole mood. Like, no pics for insta? Enid swore she had PTSD.

But other than that, camp had been perfect. She really, really needed something good after the mess last year. What with getting Wednesday Addams as a roommate, slowly becoming friends, and then watching some undead pilgrim Joseph Crackstone try to take over the school with a fellow teacher, and her new roomie/best friend saving the school…well, she was ready for a break from the plot.

Enid was happy to be back at Nevermore though. She missed her dorm, her phone, her school friends. She even missed Wednesday, who could be weird as shit and intense as hell, excuse her French. God, that girl was strange. But, they had a roomie-bestie combo going on and she was determined to get Wednesday to become more social. Enid knew she needed to accommodate for Wednesday’s anti-social tendencies but a werewolf could only try, right?

Though lately, Wednesday had taken a partnership with the little redheaded creep Agnes to solve her latest case. What this case was about, Wednesday frustratingly wouldn’t tell her. So now she just felt left out. What did that pervy 13-year-old have that she didn’t? Ugh, she just hated her. She also hated seeing Wednesday so…troubled. She’d never seen anything quite like it.

She applied blush to her cheeks as she spoke, paying more attention to her darkly-adorned roommate than her vanity mirror. It was her mission to make sure her and Wednesday stayed friends.

“So, me and some other Furs are gonna go grab a bite. No shopping, I promise, and I know you don’t like them, but you haven’t even gotten to know them! I think you should come. Let the little creep man your investigation for a whole. Plus, we could take insta pics!”

She silently prayed Wednesday would say yes, even if she knew she never had before.
