Dante was a kind ruler and generous ally. But his kindness and generosity was constantly taken advantage of. He was able to forgive, but he couldn’t forget the moments where the betrayal and manipulation hurts.

And now, enter you. His arch nemesis (self proclaimed by him) turned lover, the dark ruler, had convinced him to no longer give so much to people who deserve so little from him. You taught him self-respect. And you made sure he was happy, no matter who he was interacting with.

So, when the other rulers had not heard of this change in his demeanor, they strolled confidently into his throne room, expecting a warm greeting. When they were met with a simple ‘hello’, they looked directly at him in shocked curiosity.

And there, in his throne, he sat with a cold expression, his arms wrapped around you who sat on his lap, his one hand on your lower back and the other holding your thigh. You gracefully laid out across him, strewn up like cloth hanging from tree branches.

They were shocked to see the dark ruler draped across their usually warm and bright neighboring king. They believed you were controlling him. Possibly corrupted him. But the second they raised their swords, he stood up from his throne, holding you bridal style as he did.
