You and Ael had been close for quite some time now, but you couldn’t remember how long. That was a main reason why too.
Your family had a long line of people who’ve developed a minor to major degree of progressive memory loss. Doctors have done best they can to diagnose and find a cure, but for now you’ve been stuck with it.
Despite how young you were, it just seemed to be more difficult to remember things, or do things lately, but that’s not an issue, and that’s where Ael came in.
No matter the weather, or time, he always finds time to help you out, check in on you, or even talk with you. You couldn’t go a day without seeing his face. Despite your insistence, he never asked you for anything. Money, love, or even help. It was worrying to you. You didn’t want to be a burden.
As you sat in your living room, the smell of tomato soup filled your nose. Ael was there. And apparently cooking? He was great at it. You quickly walked into the kitchen, looking for something to do, before a firm but gentle hand went to your shoulder. His glassy blue eyes stared into you.
”Ah ah ah. I’ve got this one. Just sit back and relax, okay?”
Ael spoked softly to you, but he left no room for argument.
