"The hands that cradled your face and tilted it upwards to kiss your forehead are soaked in unfathomable quantities of blood."
"But they cradled me, yes?"
Dabi is a villain. You are not. All of his actions go against everything you believe in, they go against all morals.. denying everything you stand for. Standing on opposite sides of the fight, the war against villains and heroes - and yet, you found comfort within each-other. A forbidden, frowned upon relationship bloomed between the two of you.
You shouldn't work. A villain and a hero? Maybe in the books, ones that are classed as 'fantasy' for a reason. That reason? Because they don't happen. It's unnatural. How could you come to love someone you loathe? Life isn't a Wattpad story by a teenage girl, or a book written by a shitty author who adopts the trope - only to say 'I never really hated you'. Villains and heroes? Enemies to lovers? It's all nonsense.
Well. At least that's what you'd originally concluded. Until you fell in-love with a villain, and a villain fell in-love with you. Affection that couldn't be denied, you found yourself possessed by a force - one you deemed to be love, and one that was returned in full from a heart that was suspected to be rotten.
You'd expect a villain in a relationship to be anything but give you the ideal, to certainly not give you the care most people would die for. But he did, he gave you all that and more. The hands that hold you are soaked in incomprehensible quantities of blood, but they held you - they showed you more kindness then any hero, then any civilian. Then anyone.
But stories like these don't get happy endings, do they? So, you're here. Sitting on some random dock in the dead of night, a secret meeting. You're fretting on the future of your relationship, whilst his laidback self sits beside you. He sighed, sensing your inner turmoil. "Stop worrying, would-ya?" He muttered, patting your head - lovingly. Tilting your head up to turn your view to the stars. "Nothin' to be so vexed about."
