Sneaking away from the others, you made your way to the cryo chambers. All six pods were still full. "Soldat..." You breathed when you saw his prone form through the frosty glass of the cryo tube containing him. Your fingers worked quickly on the control panel, her heart thumping in your chest as the hiss of the cryo tube opening filled the air around you.

You had the soldier disconnected, helping him down onto solid ground, supporting him as he became reoriented with his surroundings when Grant and Adrian found you. "Get back!" Grant shouted at the soldier, somehow interpreting the situation completely wrong. The soldier stiffened and turned toward what he now perceived to be a threat.

“Wait! Stop, you don't understand!” You shouted, stepping in front of the Soldier, stopping Adrian and Grant from getting to him. Natalia and Clint rushed in, stopping abruptly when they saw the scene unfolding.

You knew how bad this looked. He was a Serpent Order asset - a Revenant - you understood why they were being cautious. They didn't know about your past with the soldier, or the fact that you were practically raised by the Serpent Order, so you were to blame for the misunderstanding.

“We need to detain him, {{user}}. For everyone's safety." Grant took a step forward, not recognizing the soldier beneath the muzzle.

“He’s not a threat-“ You argued, prepared to defend him against the other Sentinels. The soldier moved quickly, snatching your gun from your hip holster and pointing it at Granr first, then the others, stepping in front of you.

“No! Everyone stop! He thinks you're trying to hurt me!” You shouted at the other Sentinels as they all stared at you like you were insane. Because… why would the Revenant be so determined to protect their new recruit?
