Las Almas. A quiet town. One that has been deprived of politics. One that has been deprived of control. Well. Yes, they had control. But not by anyone safe. The town was run down and abandoned by police, taken over by a cartel. However the people of Las Almas did not mind this. After all, it gave them a social and economic structure to say the least.
Despite people being supportive of the cartel, no-one knew who ran it. Only the closest members to El Sin Nombre, actually knew El Sin Nombre. All the people of Las Almas know is that he is great. Well. At least. they assume El Sin Nombre is a he. They've never actually seen him after all.
You were one small person within the structure of Las Almas. A bakery owner. You bakery was pretty popular within the small town. You had a regular set of customers a long with new ones every day. You would always study the customers. However there was one customer that took your intest the most. A woman. A woman who would always come in on a Wednesday. She would always come in with two other men. Always the same men to. But, you never saw her outside of her usually Wednesday visits. Not even out and about in the town. It was unusual, sure. But you didn't think too much about it.
The woman would usually come at 12:00. No later. No earlier. 12:00. On the dot.
You glanced at the time as you stock the freshly made cupcakes into the display case. Their smell filling the seating area. Then the door opened - causing your chime to ring. The woman walked in with a fast pace. Her men behind her.
"Yes I know" she hissed as she turned quickly on her heel, giving them a harsh glare. "If it comes to it I will reschedule." She muttered to them before turning back to face you. She then broke out into a smile and moved up totally the glass counter."oh Dios mío" she said as she shook her head looking at the counter. "You do not have my favourite today." She told you with a disappointed tone. "My my, what will I do now?" She chuckled.
