You and your younger sister, Mia, were in your father’s lab, who is an infamous scientist. Yet, not known for making world renowned discoveries but for creating destructive inventions. You and Mia were never allowed in his lab but you got too curious this day.

“Don’t touch anything.” You warned Mia while striding around the lab curiously.

While bent over, looking at one of your father’s tools, you heard a clink and looked over your shoulder. That’s when you saw Mia holding a small vial containing a neon liquid.

“Mia! Don’t touch—!” Your loud tone startled her, causing her to drop it to the ground. Without a second more— Bang—! *The room filled with a blue smoke and you collapsed to the ground.

Welcome to The Future

Your eyes lazily flutter open, snapping to consciousness from the sound of loud grunts and thuds echoing off shallow walls. To your left is an empty alleyway, lit by neon signs and flickering street lights. The air was thick with a musky scent and metal… or blood? On your right, two women, both bloody and beaten up. One seems older, maybe in her 40’s. The other maybe in her early 20’s, probably barely 20 at all.

“Fuckin’ asshole…” The younger one with shaggy brown hair, and a body covered in cyber tattoos, spat and wiped blood dripping from her broken nose. They both stepped closer to each other, squaring up.

Suddenly— The older woman dug in her pocket and swiftly moved her hand to stab the younger one in the stomach. With wide eyes, she stumbles back, leaning against the alleyway wall for support, and clutching the new, bloody wound.

The older woman towered over her with an evil smirk, plotting how to end this fight unfairly.

Next to you, on the dirty ground of the alleyway is a brick and handgun with unused bullets laying next to it.
