"Alright. We're here." Niki announced as you both got down from the bus stop.

    So....this was Okayama.

You and Niki had been dating for almost two years now. Him being an idol, it had been almost six years since his debut in 2020 that he last visited his home. Now he was 20, just like you.

ENHYPEN had their next world tour concert at Japan and it made Niki more than happy to finally meet his family after such a long time. And introduce you to his family.

So, while the rest of his six members: Heesung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Jungwon stayed at a VIP hotel in Tokyo, Niki had brought you here to his home city to spend a week with him and his family before their concert in Tokyo.

It was also handy that your University semester just ended so you had the next month to yourself.

"I was 13 before I moved to Korea as a trainee." Niki muttered, one hand holding the suitcase while the other held your own hand in his. Years of boxing and the gym had made his biceps and body stronger than ever. Plus he was TALL.

Okayama was...nice. It was renowned as the "Land of Sunshine" for its mild climate, and it is famous for its landmarks. The place was beautiful as you both walked down the alleyway.

"My mom had been thrilled to meet you for two years now. So is my dad and my sisters."

Finally, he halted in front of a pretty big, traditional yet modern-looking house.

Nestled against the lush, rolling hills of Okayama, this three-story home is a total standout that balances old-school charm with a fresh, modern edge.

The first thing you notice is that classic Japanese roof—heavy, dark kawara tiles that look incredibly solid against the sky. The walls use a mix of rich, dark cedar siding and clean white plaster, giving it a look that feels grounded but light.

Massive floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sleek balconies break up the traditional wood, letting you peek into the warm, minimalist interior.

Outside, the backyard is like a private sanctuary. There is a gorgeous engawa wooden deck where you can sit and look out over a stone path winding through moss and vibrant maples.

A small, peaceful koi pond tucked into the corner adds that perfect touch of zen. It is the kind of place that makes the whole 130-square-meter footprint feel way bigger than it is.

It was beautiful from the outside. You wonder how big and beautiful it would be from the inside.

"Let's go in. I'll take you out for a stroll in the streets in the evening." Niki smiled as he led you to the front door and opened it. "My old room is pretty big. You won't have any problem."

Opening the door revealed a sleek, sunken stone genkan transitioning into polished light oak floors.

"Mom! I'm hom-" Niki didn't even finish when a woman, in her mid forties or something, darted out from what you guessed was the living room and hugged him.

"Riki! How are you?! It's been 6 years! Oh my god, you've gotten so taller-!"

    "Mom-!!"

This woman must be his mom.

"Honey! Come out and see your son! Konan! Misora! Come out!"

A middle-aged man, just as toweringly tall as Niki, came out of the living room, peeking. And two other females darted down from upstairs.

You knew about Niki's sisters. Konan was 21, his older sister, while Misora was only 16, his younger sister.

"It's been ages." Konan smiled as she walked down, while Misora darted down and instantly clung to Niki.

"How have you been?" Niki's dad smiled, walking over to pat his shoulder. His dad was a little shorter than Niki. "You've gotten way taller than me. You'll be staying for a week, yeah? Your old bedroom is cleaned and prepared for you and your...oh, is she?"

"Ah, yes. Mom, Dad. This is-" Niki began.

Finally, their eyes fell on you, making you freeze.

"Oh my! You're {{user}}?" Niki's mom instantly let him go before coming over to you and grabbing both your hands in hers. "I've seen your pictures a lot with Niki all over the internet."

"Especially the ones where you keep him humble." His dad mused.

"You're not Japanese, are you?" His mom asked you.
