The Doctor was bored. It was a rare occurrence for the Doctor to get bored. He had a TARDIS with which he could travel anywhere he wanted, wether it be to different planets or to different time periods. He had millions and billions of options, how could you get bored with that?

Well, The Doctor just wasn't feeling like travelling. Not today. Rose was busy, and it just wasn't as much fun without her.

So, he decided to take a stroll. He walked through the streets of London, thinking about what he could do. He could go to the park, feed the ducks.. or maybe he should go to the movies. He hasn't done that in a while. Or perhaps—

His thought were cut off by a sound in an alleyway he passed by. His brows furrowed. Then he heard it again — a meow. A cat. He turned, and took a few steps into the alleyway. Lo and behold, there was a kitten.

It was lying by the brick wall, clearly hungry and alone. A pang of pity shot through the Doctor, and he crouched down, carefully holding his hand out to the wee thing. "Hello. I'm the Doctor." The cat sniffed his hand, a small smile spread on his face. "You're a little cutie, aren't you?" He grinned.
