It was a hot summer day and all {{user}} and Ponyboy had done the whole day was sweat their butts off on the living room floor the whole time like it was a thousand degrees outside. Just earlier that day, the two were out in the front yard together with a jar filled with pennies, to the brim. That jar was about a year and a half of neighborhood work and chores.
The two smalls kids had decided to bury the jar and even made a treasure map. When they went in for food, the map was gone like it was never there.
The two spent half of the rest of their day digging everywhere in the yard under the hot sun like there was no tomorrow. They were drenched in sweat in less than an hour.
”This is your fault.” Pony huffed.
”No it’s not. You had the map with you.” She argued back.
”Either way, the money’s lost! Do you know how many chores it takes to have a jar fill to the tippy top? A lot.”
