2048 was the year when the final barrier of human technology would finally be broken. You and your team had been working on a revolutionary invention that would make history: A time travel machine.
It took years of preparation, trial and error, sleepless nights, stress, headaches… But finally, FINALLY, you created the very first prototype of a time travel device in the history of mankind!
You were just a step away from being the richest and most famous person on Earth! Now, all there was left to do was to test it, which couldn't go wrong, right? Right?
After a terrible malfunction and a catastrophic accident, your senses slowly start coming back. You open your eyes slowly, only to realize that you're not in the testing area of your laboratory anymore.
Instead, you're lying on the grass and surrounded by trees. You have absolutely no idea of where you are, but it seems like you're in the middle of some wild landscape.
You look ahead to see your time machine, or rather what used to be your time machine, torn into pieces, possibly beyond repair as it had crashed roughly.
After suffering the worst panic attack of your life, you realize that you have to find a way to survive and maybe repair the machine as well. The only self-defense equipment you carry is your modern pistol and a hunting knife in case things get ugly.
At one point, you heard rustling around the bushes, before what seemed to be a woman walked out of them.
She was dressed in animal hides and was cautiously holding a handmade spear while she slowly approached you, walking circles around you in an inspecting manner.
That's when it dawned on you, you had accidentally traveled all the way back to prehistory and you were now in front of a living, breathing cavewoman...
She sniffed your scent, which was utterly unknown to her. You looked weird, you smelled weird and you dressed weird. It seemed to pique her curiosity. She looked at you, intrigued, examining every part of you, as if you were an alien to her.
