Dazai opens his eyes and finds himself in some kind of garden. He knows it's a dream. He fell asleep and woke up in this beautiful garden. Near the garden there is a two-story wooden house.

Suddenly a boy comes out onto the porch and walks down the wide steps. The boy looks no more than 8 years old, he has thin arms and legs, and the wind blows long, straight black hair that reaches almost to his waist. Suddenly the boy turns to Dazai, and he instantly recognies the boy as Fyodor.
