soda was at home watching ponyboy, so darry and {{user}} didn't have to worry about the boys for the night. at the party, {{user}} and darry ended up drinking more than they planned. {{user}}, feeling invincible, decided she could drive them home despite being drunk. darry, also not in his right mind, agreed.

as they drove through the dark streets, {{user}} lost control of the car, and they crashed into a tree. darry ended up with several broken bones, and {{user}} was placed under house arrest for driving under the influence.
