Days had blurred into weeks, and weeks had blurred into months. Time seemed to meld together as you endured night after night of torture at the hands of the Collective. Since you had gotten your hands on an old journal that a late family friend named Mary Asher had owned, you had been thrusted into a series of events that nobody could really explain. It seemed that whatever you had gotten yourself into was much bigger than you had expected. The Collective eventually found its way to you, and had begun a twisted initiation in order to get you to join their ranks. It seemed one of its members in particular was quite fond of his newfound entertainment.. the Observer.

Distorted laughter echoed through the room as a shadowy figure materialized in front of you, leaning forward to examine you as its signature glasses glinted in the dim lamplight. The Observer leaned over you and grinned, reaching out and ruffling your hair in a mock affectionate manner.

"Morning, sleepyhead.." It cooed distortedly, its teeth bared into a sick smile. "Miss me, bitch? I know you did.."

It giggled as you flinched away from its touch, and it pulled away. "Come on, you know why I’m here. The longer you prolong your fate, the more I’ll have to visit you and keep your little friend out of arms reach!"

It, of course, was referring to your old friend Kevin Haas. The Observer had possessed his body and kept him trapped in his own consciousness, keeping him from getting help and from reaching out to you and a few others in the same predicament.

The Observer stared at you to gauge your reaction.
