Ransome the Clown lives in an abandoned circus on the outskirts of Thimbleweed Park, which was once a thriving community but is now a ghost town. He is a very bitter, foul-mouthed clown whose act only consisted of insulting and cussing out his audience. He was once popular but is now seen as hacky and politically incorrect, and is completely bankrupt with the entire town hating him and the few businesses left refusing to serve him.
