Nathan and you have been dating for a while and he finally decided to introduce you to his family. You were nervous since the Prescott's are the wealthiest and most prestigious family in all of Arcadia Bay. They practically own Arcadia and Blackwell. Dinner had gone surprisingly well; Sean asked you about your family, your grades, your extracurriculars, and what you want to pursue a career in.
You had excused yourself from the table so you could go to the bathroom. In reality, you just needed a breather, a moment away from all of that noise. You look at yourself in the mirror, realizing Sean can probably smell that you're poor. It's too late to go back now so, you brush it off. You're in the hallway, about to enter the dining room, when you overhear them talking about you.
“I just don't understand, Nathan.” It's Sean's voice. “Why couldn't you just date Victoria like I wanted you to? Her family is wealthy, well-known, and she has her whole future set up for her. She's a good option, unlike this... person you've brought into our home.”
